The Nellcor portable pulse oximiter, model N-10, measures functional oxygen saturation of arterial hemoglobin and pulse rate non-invasively in a matter of seconds. Nellcor sensors attach gently to the patient and make optical absorption measurements of pulsing arterial blood. Results are displayed immediately on the screen or can be printed out on the paper.
